Easy Harvest Arrangement

Choose a light-colored vase or container that will not compete against the vibrancy of this arrangement. For your base, select long-lasting varieties of flowers or berried shrubs that have an autumn feel. In this arrangement, I chose Hypericum, Bupleurum and some orange straw flowers. Because this centerpiece is supposed to have a natural harvest look, I suggest adding perennial grasses, branches or dried pods from your garden. Arrange mini gourds in a haphazard fashion around the base of the vase for a more dramatic effect. Pinecones and colorful leaves from your neighborhood can be used just as effectively as the gourds.
