18 Go-To Family Dinners

You've got a family of picky eaters -- the toddler who won't eat sauce, the 7-year-old who only likes white food and a spouse who thinks bacon is a vegetable -- and approximately a nanosecond to get something edible on the table. We get it. Leave the short-order cooking to the diner and take your weeknight dinner inspiration from these parents, who shared their favorite everyone-will-eat-it weeknight dinner ideas and recipes. Yes, you really can cook just one dinner!

Marinated Chicken, Rice and Veggies
"I’ll marinate thin, boneless chicken breasts for about 20 minutes in the Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki marinade while steaming fresh broccoli and baby carrots. Then as I’m broiling the marinated chicken for about 10-15 minutes, I prepare a rice dish like Near East’s rice pilaf. It’s a consistent hit for my almost-5-year-old daughter and I feel like I’ve prepared a well-balanced meal even after the craziness of a full work day." -- Serena
