The Eatery

Why you want it: Time for those chips to say, cheese! It’s hard to ignore the fact that you ate an entire bag of chips if you have to snap a picture of it first. Studies have shown time and time again that keeping a food log, and simply being aware of your eating habits, can help you lose weight. Before you start, you’ll be asked a little bit about how you eat (choices range from “I eat everything!” to “Vegan or vegetarian”). Then, you snap photos of all the food you eat, rate how healthy you think it is and... You’ve got yourself a visual food log. This app is not a calorie counter, but it does remind you that you did have that piece of cheesecake last night. If you need a little more accountability, you can turn on the feature that allows for strangers/friends to weigh in on how healthy your food choices are -- and call you out if you ever try to pass said cheesecake off as being even remotely healthy. You are what you eat. And now, you have the pictures to prove it!
