Ouch! Ed Westwick, 22, had to face two break-ups in two weeks! Not only did his Gossip Girl character Chuck Bass break up with longtime flame Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) on April 5, but now Page Six is reporting that he has also split with girlfriend Jessica Szohr, 25, after rumors swirled that she was spending time with one his best friends, Marco Minuto. “Jessica recently celebrated her birthday in LA and was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco,” a source tells Page Six. “They ended up back at the same hotel, but nobody knows what happened behind closed doors.”
Ed reportedly called Jessica last week after hearing the rumors, prompting her to fly to London — where Ed is currently filming his new movie Chalet Girl – in a desperate attempt to patch things up.
Despite her apologies, a source says that Ed is still “deeply hurt. He can’t believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends.”
Ed and Jessica met on the set of The CW’s Gossip Girl in 2007, and announced their relationship in 2008.
This is such a bummer to hear! It’s a good thing Gossip Girl is done filming for the season, because if things are really as rocky as they sound, it would be really awkward for these two on set. At least they have a few months to figure everything out before getting back to work!
