LeAnn Rimes and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian have been all lovey-dovey lately on Twitter -- but is their relationship secretly on the rocks? Star Magazine claims that Cibrian is quietly cheating on Rimes with his ex-wife, singer Brandi Glanville. E! News claims that friends have confirmed the reignited romance, and Brandi herself told Star that she'd been hooking up with her ex behind LeAnn's back. Of course, cheating is what brought Rimes and Cibrian together in the first place: the country singer and TV star met on the set of a television movie while he was married to Glanville and she was married to Dean Sheremet. So we know that Eddie is capable of straying. The question is: did he?
Not according to him. Cibrian released a statement on Twitter calling foul on the story. "Once again my ex has stooped to a new low attempting to sabotage my beautiful relationship with LeAnn," Cibrian writes. "Not surprisingly the ONLY magazine that decided to run the story shares the same credibility and delusion as my ex. They should be ashamed of themselves."
Rimes is also standing by her man on Twitter, saying, "I know more than anything in this world that @eddiecibrian loves and respects me more than anything in this world. Nothing and no one will ever change that."
To thicken the plot, E! has other sources saying that the illicit hook-ups did happen -- but it was way back at the beginning of Eddie and LeAnn's relationship, and the couple considers it ancient history.
Cibrian's ex-wife has made no secret of her feelings for Rimes, calling her "desperate" and saying the affair "made me sick." But she has reason to be bitter: she was pregnant with Eddie's second child when the affair began, and he allegedly still owes her more than $20,000 in back child support and alimony. Now that Cibrian and his two boys are reportedly moving in with Rimes, is Glanville is trying to up the stakes in the divorce settlement by airing her dirty laundry? Or maybe she has nothing to do with it, and cheating rumors will just be inevitable from now on (many would say: they made that bed, and now they're lying in it!) for Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes.
