"I come from a long line of brunch-o-thropes, or to put a more positive spin on it, from a family who likes to be outdoors in the middle of a beautiful spring Sunday instead of trapped in a windowless room eating an omelet stuffed with whatever the chef had left over from the real meal the night before. My ideal Mother's Day brunch item is something that I can take with me … away from the brunch table. Like this perfect little handheld Egg and Cheese on a Biscuit. In my house, we don't bother making the biscuits from scratch—these are Trader Joe's. Why would we when we can be outside playing soccer or tennis or hopscotch or tetherball instead?"
