A source close to Elin Nordegren has told People that Tiger Woods' estranged wife "does not want to go to the Masters" next week, when her golf star husband attempts his pro sports comeback. Can you blame her?
Woods, 34 -- who announced earlier this month that he would make his return to the tournament -- allegedly wants Nordegren, 30, to "attend the Masters, even if for a half day, to look like she is interested in supporting his return to golf."
In fact, the source says Nordegren wants to be as far away from the Masters tournament as possible, claiming the mother of two "is preparing for a trip to see her family and friends in Sweden."
Nordegren has opted to keep a low-profile since the revelations of her husband's multiple extramarital affairs (she was absent when Woods infamously read a public apology to the press) reportedly "would rather not be [at the Masters]."
The source also claims Woods' mode of transportation -- his plane -- "is too 'in your face' for her now." The New York Daily News reports that Nordegren did show her support for Woods with a visit while he was in rehab for sex addiction.
