Apparently, The CW's Gossip Girl didn't have enough feisty females pacing the set. So there's a new one in the mix -- and it's none other than Elizabeth Hurley.

During Season 5 (which is set to premiere Monday, September 26, at 8 p.m. ET), Hurley, 46, will play Diana Payne, who producers describe to TV Line as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters -- including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself."

According to TV Line, Season 5 will begin in Los Angeles, where Serena (Blake Lively) has been working for a Hollywood director. Newly single Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) visit her there, while Chuck's ex, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) plans her wedding to Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) back in NYC. That won't be as fun as it sounds, though -- not with his meddling sister (French actress Roxane Mesquida) trying to sabotage the proceedings. Producers aren't divulging how Hurley's recurring character fits in with all this. Maybe she'll be Blair's new boss?

Whatever her character does, Hurley must be pleased to just be on TV. Her other project, NBC's Wonder Woman, was yanked from the fall lineup. Welcome back to the airwaves, Elizabeth!
