Elizabeth Moss has taken the next step in ending her very short marriage to Fred Armisen, as the actress filed for divorce on Monday in Los Angeles.
The Mad Men star and the Saturday Night Live funnyman married in October 2009 and split just eight months later, separating in June. The divorce filing states "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the marriage's demise.
"They had issues," one insider told UsMagazine.com of the couple.
According to the source, Moss is a Scientologist and Armisen was not on board with the religion as much as she would have liked her husband to be.
"Her religion was as important to her as their marriage, if not more," another pal said. "He could not get with it."
But Armisen seems to be getting over the split just fine, and is now dating SNL costar Abby Elliot. Friends say Moss is "fine" with his new relationship. "They are both moving on."
