Like winning an award or having your love life splashed all over the magazines in the checkout aisle, getting your own perfume is something of a celebrity rite of passage.

Much like the stars themselves, some celebrity perfumes end up standing the test of time while others fade into obscurity. It should come as no surprise, then, that one of the most enduringly famous females out there also has one of the most enduringly famous fragrances.

Elizabeth Taylor, you are still number one.

AOL's Styleist blog picked up a sales report from research center Euromonitor International, which crunched the numbers to find out which celeb scents are the all-time best sellers. White Diamonds, Dame Elizabeth's signature fragrance, is the most popular.

Judging from the 2008 receipts, Diamonds, which first hit the market in 1991, sells about $67.2 million worth of bottles each year.

The number-two seller for the ladies on the list is Celine Dion, who took in $26.4 million (Sean "Diddy" Combs was number-two overall, having sold $48.5 worth of his Sean John fragrance in 2008.)

With her Lovely scent, Sarah Jessica Parker is the number-three celebrity parfumier, and Britney Spears appears twice in the list of best-selling fragrances: Her Curious and Fantasy scents come in at number 8 and 9, respectively.

The sweet smell of success indeed!
