Stern asked Macpherson if she displays any of the photographs from her decades-long modeling career, and Macpherson replied that on one wall of her bedroom is a nude photo of her taken by famed celebrity photographer Herb Ritts circa 1990. In the picture, which was taken on the beach, Macpherson said she's wearing only "a gun holster around my waist." Just to make things even spicier, Macpherson added that the photo was shot "from behind."
But Stern's response wasn't his usual oohing and ahhing. Instead, he expressed concern about what Macpherson's two growing sons (Arpad, 14, and Aurelius, 9) think about their hot mama's nude photo.
"Do your children get upset by that? It's probably upsetting that his mother's ass is in the bedroom, and if the kids bring over friends," he pointed out.
"No," Macpherson replied. "I just think you're being absolutely Jewish."
The "Jewish" comment clearly confused Stern. "Why is that Jewish?" a dumbdounded Stern asked. "I've had this discussion with people who aren't Jewish."
But Macpherson explained herself. "Because you're being overprotective," she said of the "Jewish mother" stereotype. "You sound like a nagging mother, 'Eleanor, should you have that picture in your room?' My children are very well-balanced."
Stern, however, recalled his own experience with seeing his mother au naturel: "I once saw my mother come out of the shower, it traumatized me."
And once again, Macpherson stuck her foot in her mouth, replying: "I can imagine, if she looks like you... Sorry, that just slipped out!"
Stern then deadpanned: "I am ready to break up with you."
So what's the verdict: was Macpherson's "Jewish" comment out of line, or just part of gabbing with the controversial radio host?
