Nominations for the 37th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and ABC's General Hospital pretty much left everyone in the dust with a mind-blowing 18 nominations (James Franco, unfortunately, got snubbed as the crazy artist-killer). And Ellen DeGeneres really has something to dance about: The Ellen DeGeneres Show received eight nominations, including one for outstanding talk show. ABC's The View trailed with five, including a nod in the outstanding talk-show host category, and The Oprah Winfrey Show garnered four nominations.
Other soaps celebrating nominations include The Young and the Restless with 16, and One Life to Live and As the World Turns with 13 nods. In major categories, the nominees are:
