Ellen DeGeneres Busts a Move on 'SYTYCD' Finale

The hilarious talk-show host surprised fans with a hip-hop performance on the season finale

Lauren Froderman emerged victorious during last night's season seven finale of So You Think You Can Dance (besting fellow finalists Robert Roldan and Kent Boyd). But the real winner of the evening was Ellen DeGeneres, who surprised viewers and showed off her famous dance moves.

The 51-year-old host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show performed a special hip-hop dance number with SYTYCD alum Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The dance (set to "Outta Your Mind" by Lil' Jon and LMFAO) was dedicated to one of this season's contestants, Alex Wong. Wong was favored to win the whole thing, but had to leave the show when he ruptured his Achilles tendon a few weeks ago.

After her big moment, DeGeneres said, "It broke my heart when I saw (Alex's) injury and as a joke, I said it would be fun and because of (choreographers) Napoleon and Tabitha, it became a reality." She also noted, "I've never had a dance class in my life, but I had so much fun!"

A few hours before the show, DeGeneres gave fans a heads up about her performance via her Twitter page. "Don’t miss the #SYTYCD finale tonight. I’m going to do something special for Alex tonight." DeGeneres posted. After the show she added, "I had 2 goals tonight. Not to trip while I was dancing with Twitch & to make Alex smile. I think I accomplished both."
