Bachelorette fans, prepare to soon meet Mrs. Emily Holm.
Sure, we only saw Jef Holm pop the question to Emily Maynard last Sunday on The Bachelorette finale, but the couple has been engaged for months. That's given them plenty of time to figure out what they want in their marriage, which includes Maynard taking Holm's last name.
"Even though I went on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I'm pretty traditional, believe it or not, so yeah -- sure [I'll change my name]," Maynard, 26, told Ryan Seacrest during an interview on his KIIS-FM radio show. (Listen to the interview below.)
The couple also parted with some other wedding intel. For instance, even though Maynad and Holm, 28, fell in love on television, it doesn't seem likely that we'll get to see them tie the knot in a Bachelorette wedding special.
"People keep asking us that, and we don't even know what we're going to eat for lunch tomorrow," Maynard repsonded when Seacrest asked if they'd televise the nuptials. "I never thought I was going to be the Bachelorette, so I've learned to never say never. But it's something we'll have to talk about as a family."
It sounds like the couple is just happy to finally be a family. Holm is planning a big move from Utah to Charlotte, N.C., to live closer to his fiancee and her 7-year-old daughter Ricki, who he has gotten to know through a series of secretive visits since the proposal. From the way he talks about her, it seems like Holm is ready to become a dad.
"Every chance I get to see her and hang out with her, I take advantage of that," Holm said. "She's seriously the sweetest girl ever."
Although they've been engaged since May, fans finally got to see Holm's proposal to Maynard on July 22.
"I feel like the luckiest man in the world," Holm said in the episode. "I think it's so rare that people find the person that they're meant to be with. I think it's so incredibly meant to be that you and I found each other like this here and I'm so grateful that we did. I think God puts the right people in our lives when the timing is just right."
