Eminem and Lady Antebellum couldn't be more musically diverse acts -- so it's fitting that they lead the pack of 2010 American Music Award nominations.
The rapper, who had a big comeback year with hits "Love the Way You Lie" and "Not Afraid" nabbed five nominations. The country superstar group, whose genre-defying "Need You Now" became a smash this year, tied with Eminem for the most nods.
Both acts are up for the evening's biggest award, entertainer of the year, and they'll competing against fellow nominees Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha and Katy Perry.
The Biebs is the second most-nominated act with four, while Perry, Ke$ha and Usher racked up three each. Other nominees in the 19 categories for this year's AMAs include chart-toppers like Black Eyed Peas, Train, Carrie Underwood, Drake, Alicia Keys, Muse, Taylor Swift and newcomer B.o.B. Plus -- and no surprise here! -- the cast of Glee solidified a spot in the favorite soundtrack category.
It's not yet been announced who will be attending (both Rihanna and Chris Brown are among the nominees) or which musicians will perform during the show. Though we wonder whether Adam Lambert will be asked to return after his daring performance last year!
Fans can vote for their favorites until Nov. 12 at the official American Music Awards website. The ceremony airs live on ABC on Sunday, Nov. 21.
