There are lots of best-dressed lists out there, but few of them are created by the style goddesses at Vogue. Any starlet who appears in the magazine's annual Best Dressed issue is definitely a fashion force to be reckoned with. So who made the cut this year?
At the top of Vogue's list is Emma Stone, the charming actress who seems incapable of making a fashion faux pas. (Go here to see all her looks from this summer's Amazing Spider-Man press tour!) Stone also graces the cover of the Best Dressed issue, wearing a glitzy Proenza Schouler blouse as comfortably as if it were a hooded sweatshirt. Not that we're jealous or anything.
In second place is newcomer Rooney Mara, whose dramatic style turned heads on countless red carpets this year. The #3 spot goes to Leelee Sobieski, who -- wait. What has she done lately? We're not sure, but apparently, she looked really good doing it. Rounding out the list: Zoe Saldana (#4), fashion editor Lauren Santo Domingo (#5), Solange Knowles (#6), Kristen Stewart (#7, but she's not smiling about it), model Lily Kwong (#8), basketball wife Kimberly Chandler (#9) and model Dree Hemingway (#10).
Elsewhere in the issue, Vogue honors the "New Wave of Style Stars," calling out up-and-coming fashion icons like Jennifer Lawrence, Azealia Banks, Sloane Stephens and Lana Del Rey.
As the results came in, at least one honoree was pretty ecstatic. "Wowzahs! Thank you @Voguemagazine for selecting me best dressed a second year!" singer Solange Knowles tweeted. Lily Kwon was also psyched, though she chose to be modest about it, tweeting, "I'm no #RooneyMara but I'm proud to be on @voguemagazine 2012 list! ;)" Lauren Santo Domingo also thanked Vogue on Twitter -- but added that she doesn't "stand a chance" against the other ladies. Hey, she made the top 10 -- that's reason enough to celebrate!
