Outstanding Lead Actor In a Drama Series

Nominees: Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Hugh Laurie (House), Timothy Olymphant (Justified)

Our Pick to Win: Jon Hamm

Why We Think He Should Win: Mad Men's Don Draper had a rough year, giving the actor who plays him a lot to work with. Dealing with the burden of a touch-and-go work situation, the needs of his ice queen ex-wife, played by January Jones, (and their attention-starved children), and his grief over losing Anna (Melinda Page Hamilton), Don's emotional state unraveled before our eyes. The way Hamm portrayed the wear and tear on his character was almost uncomfortably realistic.
