Why you should see it: Winslet's husband, Sam Mendes, directs this grown-up reunion of the Titanic duo as they play a married suburban couple in the '50s who become dissatisfied with their middle-class Connecticut lives. She wants to be an actress and live in Paris, he pretends he's meant for more than his dull corporate job, and their insistence that they're different from all the other couples around them makes the reality of their lives all the more painful to accept.
Box office bottom line: You have to love the Leo/Kate reunion and the chance to see if they have the same chemistry that made Titanic's love story so haunting, but do we all really want to think that if Jack had survived and he and Rose had gotten married, they'd end up as miserable suburbanites who drink too much and engage in flings at the office?
