Tim Russert

Tim Russert, host of Meet the Press, died of coronary artery disease at the age of 58 on June 13. After returning from a trip to Italy with his wife and son the day before, Russert collapsed in his office in Washington D.C. and was pronounced dead at Sibley Memorial Hospital when resuscitation efforts failed. A public viewing was held on June 17 and a private funeral and burial were held on June 18. Afterward, another memorial service was held in the Concert Hall of the Kennedy Center and was broadcast on MSNBC.
