Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's divorce has been finalized. The Desperate Housewives star and NBA player's three-year marriage was legally ended in a Texas courtroom on Friday, People has confirmed.
The San Antonio Spurs player allegedly sent hundreds of texts to his former teammate Brent Barry's wife Erin. When Longoria learned of this, she filed for divorce in Nov. 2010, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the split. Two days later, Parker filed his own divorce papers to "protect his rights." Still, the two agreed to work things out amicably, even meeting for a friendly lunch in Dec. 2010 to discuss divorce details.
According to People, Longoria, 35, sought spousal support from Parker, 28, though no details of the finalized divorce settlement are known at this time. The two signed a prenup a month prior to their July 2007 wedding, and the agreement was updated two years later.
Parker credited his family's support and his lifelong love of basketball for helping him get through the divorce. Longoria, who was previously married to General Hospital's Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004, has spoken very little about her split from Parker.
Longoria, who looked absolutely radiant at Sunday's SAG Awards, is rumored to be dating dating Penelope Cruz's little brother Eduardo Cruz, although her rep claims the two are "just friends." We certainly hope Longoria and Parker both find love again!
