Don't pay any attention to the Page Six rumors about Eva Longoria. The Desperate Housewives star says that despite the New York Post's gossip page, which claims that she's getting cozy with with Matt Barnes, forward for the L.A. Lakers, she is not dating the NBA player.
Sunday's edition of Page Six featured an item speculating that Longoria, 36, was "very flirty" and had a "spark" with the handsome baller, 31, at a dinner in NYC on Thursday, Oct. 27. Even though the meal was attended by two others and the paper did include a statement from Longoria's rep saying she and Barnes are "just friends," the fiery actress is not happy with the new dating rumors.
"First Jessica simpson, now this. Once again, press gets it wrong, matt barnes and I are not dating!" Longoria confirmed on her WhoSay page, obviously referring to the constant rumors about Simpson's pregnancy.
Longoria, who tweeted a photo of her, Barnes, George Lopez, and an unidentified woman on Oct. 16, went on to explain, "We are doing a charity event together for Padres and Athletes vs Cancer. Why is the truth never the headline? why did I bother to comment when they put your statement at end of articles? #stillannoying."
According to Us, the man Longoria is dating is not a basketball player like Barnes or her ex-husband Tony Parker, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs. It's Spanish singer Eduardo Cruz, the 26-year-old younger brother of Penelope Cruz. Back in April, a source told People that Eduardo and Eva, who first stepped out together in the beginning of the year, were "getting very serious."
As far as Longoria bringing up Jessica Simpson's pregnancy rumors to support her argument? She might want to rethink her position -- has she seen that bump?
