Eva Longoria has told the Associated Press that after Desperate Housewives, she will never do another TV show. I’ll file this under: comments you made when offers were rolling in but will ultimately regret when you no longer have said offers. Other TV actors have made similar statements. They include: David Caruso who famously quit NYPD Blue because he thought that wildly successful show was holding him back from a huge movie career. He ended up crawling back to do CSI: Miami when he'd go to see movies and he wasn’t in any of them. Luckily it worked out for him, on the other hand we have Shelley Long, who quit one of my fave shows, Cheers, and as far as I know has no career. Why do these stars feel like television is beneath them?
