Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, married for three years, officially announced their split on Wednesday. Just hours later, the dirt started flying about the reason for the divorce -- and it's scandalous indeed. Longoria told friend and Extra reporter Mario Lopez that she filed divorce papers after finding "hundreds of text messages" on Parker's phone from another woman. Not only was the woman a mutual friend, dished Longoria, but she was a former teammate's wife. The Desperate Housewives actress added that Parker had previously had an affair with a different woman, and was still in touch with her on Facebook.
Longoria didn't identify the woman who sent all those text messages, but Sports Illustrated writer Bryan A. Graham reported via Twitter that the woman is Erin Barry, wife of his Parker's former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry. On Wednesday night, the press learned that Brent Barry had filed a petition for divorce from wife Erin after twelve years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Coincidence? Seems unlikely.
Right now, emotions seem to be running high between everybody involved, but no one is issuing any denials. Access Hollywood host Billy Bush tweeted that he spoke to Erin Barry, who cried and said "no comment" -- while Tony Parker was texting her. When Parker was cornered by a reporter before Wednesday's Spurs game, he curtly responded to the allegations by saying, "That's my private life."
Interesting, E! is reporting that the "affair" between Parker and Barry was of the emotional, not physical, variety. They also reveal that Erin is a professional caseworker and advocate for abused and neglected children, which makes it kinda hard to hate her.
As for Eva, she has pulled out of all her upcoming appearances, including the American Music Awards.
