Not to say that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are getting serious, but they've moved on from afternoons at Disneyland to weekends in Paris! The actors, who have been publicly dating since September, spent Saturday and Sunday together exploring the world's most romantic city.
Gosling, 31, flew into Paris to visit Mendes, 37, on the set of the French film Holly Motors. After filming ended on Friday, the couple shared a dinner of Argentine food and red wine. Then on Saturday, they took a walk through the historic Pere-Lachaise cemetery, the burial place of famous French citizens like Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Isadora Duncan and Edith Piaf.
"They were holding hands and there was a lot of tenderness between them," an eyewitness tells People.
From there, the well-dressed pair went on to explore the Catacombs of Paris, a network of tunnels under the city containing ossuaries full of human bones. (How... romantic?) On Saturday night, they went a more traditional route: visiting a park around the Eiffel Tower, where Gosling bought Mendes a single rose from a street vender. (How romantic!)
Gosling and Mendes met this spring while filming The Place Beyond the Pines, a crime drama starring Gosling as a motorcycle stunt rider. They've been coy when asked about their romance, but don't seem worried about hiding their affection in public. It's clear that Eva's one lucky lady -- and we bet we know who she would have chosen for Sexiest Man Alive!
