chime in nowWhat It Is: A Fairy Garden
From: Finding Home
Why We Love It: Little girls and boys are true believers -- and they'll love creating a home for the fairies that populate their imaginations. (Moms and dads will love the way this special project keeps the wee ones occupied!)
What You'll Need: A large container, small rocks, small plants, moss, and "fairy" furniture, made by you and your kids or purchased.
How to Do It: Fill your container with soil and let your kids' imaginations go crazy. Have your child create a map before you begin planting, or just design as you go. Small plants like shrubs, flowers and other green plants will need frequent trimming to maintain their magical stature. Be careful not to mix sun and shade plants.
Great for Kids: Preschool and up
