The Plot: Based on the oft-banned YA book (for drugs, sex, and language) by Stephen Chbosky, Wallflower is also directed and scripted by the author. It stars Logan Lerman as a maladjusted teen trying to make sense of his friend’s suicide, Emma Watson as his crush and Ezra Miller as her sibling. The Buzz: With a PG-13 rating, Wallflower aims to emote rather than offend. That bodes well for Watson, who’s garnering great reviews for her role in the sweet indie film and is officially a hot post-Potter commodity riding a wave of high-profile, drool-worthy roles (among them: Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring and Seth Rogen’s The End of the World). Diving into non-fantasy "felt pretty exotic to me," she told the Washington Post, of her Wallflower role. "Getting to go to Friday night football, and Olive Garden, school dances, and all of that stuff. That was really another world to me." Who knew Olive Garden was so exotic?
