'Gossip Girl'


Premieres: Monday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW

Where we left off: Forced to choose between Dan (Penn Badgley) and Chuck (Ed Westwick), Blair (Leighton Meester) opted for Chuck. After alienating both Dan and Blair, Serena (Blake Lively) went back to her old, self-destructive ways and hooked up with a stranger.

Why we can't wait: "The gang that you saw in that final act [of the season 5 finale will be] the main players when we come back," says exec producer Stephanie Savage about the sixth and final season. The future looks bright for Chuck and Blair, and maybe even for Serena: She'll get a new boyfriend played by Barry Watson.
