NEWS: What is going on in the TV world these days? The CW is swapping their Monday night dramas with their Sunday night comedies which means 7th Heaven will be moving to Sunday night just in case you didn’t know it was still on the air, it is. I will never know why. Then FOX is moving the drama Justice to Monday nights and pushing my favorite show House to Tuesday at 9pm when they return to their regular schedule, post-baseball playoffs. And of course the biggest TV news: The Simple Life’s Paris and Nicole are friends again. So much happening, I can’t keep up, honestly.
STUDIO 60: Did you guys watch Studio 60 last night? This freshman drama is really growing on me, so how come no one is watching? What else are you doing? Okay, sure CSI: Miami is on opposite it, but I hate looking at that David Caruso guy, isn’t Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford so much more fun to watch? They’re so cute. Who doesn’t like cute? I will be very mad if this show gets cancelled, so please watch it. Sting is going to be on next week! THE sting, he’s so so sexy. And I think Matt and Harriet are going to make out next week. Sexual tension on any show will draw me back week after week, I’m just that much of a sucker for love.
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: Another show that people didn’t flock to last week was Friday Night Lights. Like I said this show is one of the most well written, well acted, well directed dramas out there so why aren’t people tuning in? What am I missing? Can someone explain it to me? It's on tonight on NBC at 8pm, so tune in and I promise you, it will not disappoint.
GILMORE GIRLS: Maybe instead of watching Friday Night Lights you were watching Gilmore Girls. They’re on at the same time, so I can see the dilemma. Thankfully my TIVO can record two things at once so I’m golden. I’m a huge Gilmore Girls fan, have been since the first season but I’m not loving it so far this year and here’s why: First of all, the writing is way off but because there are new writers, I’m going to let that one go. Secondly, there was this scene in last weeks episode between Luke and TJ and all Luke said the entire time in an annoyed voice was “TJ," ” TJ,” “TJ.” But TJ wouldn’t stop talking even though Luke was saying his name repeatedly and I was shouting at my TV "shut up, TJ, just shut up." It was like he didn't hear me shouting at him at all. Will someone tell me why the TJ character is still on the show, I hate, hate, hate him.
But my biggest problem is the Lane being pregnant story. When shows go down the pregnant road, I have a rule: the TV must be turned off. This has been hard because even House has flirted with that story line and it’s not cool. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lane, she was the funniest part of last week’s episode, but her being pregnant… let’s just say I’m cautiously optimistic about where they’re going with it. Comment below if you think I’m way off base.
