A fairy princess of a tea party taken outside on a pretty summer's day. Easy tea sandwiches shaped like flowers or butterflies and quick lemon sprinkle cookies make this a simple delight.
What you'll need:
- Cream cheese and jam sandwiches
- Cookie cutters in fun shapes
- Sweet Pastry Dough
- Zest of 1 lemon
What you'll do:
Make the Sweet Pastry Dough recipe, and add the zest of one lemon at the same time you add the vanilla to the dough. In step two of the recipe, just roll the dough out onto a floured cutting board and use cookie cutters to make adorable cookies. Transfer them to a baking sheet, sprinkle with sprinkles and cook in the oven at 350 degrees F until light golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool.
Cut the cream cheese and jelly sandwiches into shapes using the cookie cutters. Lay out a flowery sheet on the lawn, bring out the royal treats, pour lemonade into teacups (extend those pinkies!) and enjoy a feast fit for a princess.
