Celebrate your love for family members with a beautiful Valentine's Day display!
What you'll need:
Photos of your nearest and dearest family members, pink and red poster board, glue sticks, scissors, glitter glue pens, markers, hole punch, thin ribbon, tree branches or sticks.
What you'll do:
Choose the photos you want to use -- head shots will work best. From the poster board, cut out two large hearts, about four inches in length, for each of the photos. Take half of the hearts; fold in half, and cut a two-inch heart from the middle. When you open the hearts, they will have a heart-shaped opening in the center. With the glue sticks, attach one photo to each of the solid hearts. (Trim off the corners of the photos if they extend past the edges of the hearts.) Apply glue to the edges of the open hearts and place over the photos, creating a frame. With the hole punch, make a hole at the top of each heart. Have your children tell you what they love most about each person and write (or let them write) it under the photo on the heart-shaped frame. Allow children to decorate the edges of the hearts with the glitter glue pens and markers.
Group the branches in a large bucket or vase and hang your ornaments from the branches to create a family tree of love.
