- Large, square piece of material to make a basic sling

- Prescription medications in childproof bottles
- Syrup of ipecac (talk with your doctor about use)
- Thermometer
- Acetaminophen and aspirin (never give aspirin to children under 12)

Remember to keep the first aid kit out of reach of small children. Somewhere locked, like the trunk or glove compartment, is ideal.
