Designer Tom Ford returned to the runway in a big way on Sunday -- and the former Gucci and YSL fashion genius had a few surprises up his sleeve for the ultra-exclusive audience at his fashion show in New York.
Calling his models "the world’s most inspirational women," Ford narrated as high-wattage celebs including Beyonce, Julianne Moore and Lauren Hutton strutted their stuff wearing the designer's latest masterpieces.
"It was so much fun," Beyoncé told WWD.com after the show. "It felt like a performance. It had the energy of a live show. It’s great to see people have fun in fashion."
The Tom Ford fashion show was so private and tough to get into that only one photographer was present and no photos were released. Fortunately Elle creative director and The City star Joe Zee took his Twitter to give a tiny preview of what trends we can expect to see when the line is debuted to the public.
"Tom Ford gorgeousness," he wrote. "Silk fringe gown, crisp tuxedos in blk and white, leopard pantsuits, corsets under peekaboo gowns and lace kneeboots."
