Friends & Co-Stars React to the Death of 'Fast and Furious' Star Paul Walker

The 40-year-old actor died in a car crash on Saturday.

Fans of the Fast & Furious films could look forward to reuniting with their favorite characters every few years. Tragically, Paul Walker will no longer be part of that cast. The 40-year-old actor was killed in a car crash on Saturday afternoon, while leaving a charity event in Los Angeles. He was one of two people who died in the single-car crash; the other was reportedly the car's owner, Walker's friend and financial advisor Roger Rodas.

Best known for playing Brian O'Conner in the hugely popular action films, Walker had been in show business since he was a child, appearing on TV shows like Highway to Heaven and in films like Monster in the Closet. In his early 20s, he played the varsity basketball star seduced by Reese Witherspoon in Pleasantville, and appeared alongside James Van Der Beek in Varsity Blues. In 2001, the film The Fast and the Furious made him a star. After that, he appeared in movies like Flags of Our Fathers and the 2013 thriller Hours, in which he had the starring role. He was in the middle of filming Fast and Furious 7 when he died. (Shooting on that film has now been suspended, but will likely continue at a later date.)

Needless to say, Walker made many friends in Hollywood over the course of his long career. As soon as news of his death broke, Twitter lit up with remembrances of the actor. Here are just a few.
