Hold the Beef

"I make a mean turkey burger, so that's my burger. My kids like them, but [dear husband] won't even give them a try! He's just stubborn.

"Ground turkey is lean and dries out fast, so I add a tablespoon of olive oil to the mix. I beat an egg and add half [an egg] per pound of meat to bind. Then, add lots of whatever you like. I use finely chopped onion, sometimes garlic or peppers, salt and pepper, and lots of chopped fresh herbs. Sage is a must. If it’s messy, I'll add a bit of stale bread bits. Form patties and cook real fast in a pan sprayed with Pam or rubbed with olive oil. [Cook] only a couple of minutes on each side. I use mustard instead of ketchup." —themamas
