FDA Recalls Kotex Tampons from Walmart

Find out if you've been affected by the recall

Citing possible health risks, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for Kotex brand tampons shipped to several Walmart and Fry’s stores in Nebraska between October 29 and November 2.

Several lots of 18- and 36-count Kotex Natural Balance Security Unscented Tampons Regular Absorbency may be infected with E. sakazakii, a bacterium that can lead to urinary tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease and vaginal infections. Although no illnesses have been reported as of yet, you should stop using this brand of tampons if you have them. Click here to find out if your Kotex tampons is in the effected lots.
