Say what you will about Jenelle Evans's parenting skills: at least she changes diapers! On Tuesday, the Teen Mom star attacked pregnant Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi on Twitter, after the Jersey Shore star was quoted as saying that she would only do "the good parts" of parenting. Only problem? The Snooki quote was totally made up.
"There is no way I'm changing any diapers when my baby is born. That is disgusting. That's what maids are for and babysitters. I don't have time for that. I'll have them do that stuff," reads Snooki's fake quote, which has been traced back to the site Reddit.
"I'll be there for the good parts, like dressing my son up and making sure he got style," the phony statement continues. "You don't have to cook or clean or change diapers to be a good mother. My son will have everything he wants. He's going to be a little star like his mommy."
Polizzi, whose first child is due in the fall, never said any of this. But after it was photoshopped on a picture of one of Snooki's 2011 interviews and posted on Reddit, the quote fooled a whole lot of people -- including fellow MTV star Evans.
"omg, no offense... but yu call ME a bad mother... but look what @snooki said about her baby... thats straight F***ED UP," the Teen Mom star tweeted on Tuesday.
Not long afterwards, Polizzi called out the fabricated quote for what it was.
"FYI, I can't wait to change my kids shitty diapers & I don't even believe in maids. Just sayin," Snooki wrote on Twitter.
Snooki's tweet wasn't explicitly directed at Evans, but it's clear that she took it personally, since she immediately blocked the Teen Mom star from her Twitter account.
"hahahahaha what did @snooki say back to me? she blocked me from twitter... figures. cant take criticism like i can," Evan tweeted in response.
Jenelle, whose son Jace was born in 2009, has heard her share of "bad mother" comments. The North Carolina native has a history of legal and drug problems, and has been arrested three times this year alone (most recently in June). Her son is currently in the custody of her mother Barbara.
"When he is older, I will tell him I was really young and I couldn't put a roof over my own head, let alone his," Jenelle told Us Weekly last spring.
