You will probably find that if you can stay relaxed (no easy feat!) and content with the complicated task of managing a baby and adjusting to your new life -- and if you can slip empty calories, such as those from sugar or alcohol, which have lots of calories but very little nutritional value -- 20 to 25 pounds will have melted away by your six-week checkup.
