Flavor Flav Arrested and Jailed in Las Vegas

The rapper and Flavor of Love reality star gets pinched in Sin City for a slew of traffic offenses

Flavor Flav's time was up: the rapper/reality star was arrested and jailed in Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday. Flav was pulled over by police for a simple moving violation, but things turned much more serious when cops discovered that the Public Enemy member had a warrant out for his arrest for four outstanding auto offenses!

 

L.V.P.D. spokesman Bill Cassell told E! Online that Flav (real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr.) was wanted for driving without proof of insurance, a parking violation and two cases of driving without a license. The VH1 star of The Surreal Life and Flavor of Love was taken into custody, booked into a nearby jail and eventually released several hours later.

The always-colorful Flav took to his Twitter account to recount the days' events.

 

"Hey y'all this is FLAVOR FLAV, I was on my home from Benihana's I got pulled over by a curious Rookie Ass Cop," Flav tweeted. "He found out I had a traffic warrant wanted to make a name for himself took me in and now I'm home laying my bed what's the big deal?!"

The trip to the slammer did seem to have a happy ending, though, as Flav revealed that he had taken care of all his legal matters.

"At least, I cleared up my s**t," he concluded. "Some people are still on the run!"
