Didn't get any flowers for Valentine's Day? Don't despair. Now's the time to stock up on fun florals for yourself -- those you can wear, that is.
With springtime approaching, pretty petals are popping up everywhere: on skirts and dresses, on cardigans, T-shirts, and raincoats, and on -- my favorite way to wear them -- super-cute accessories, like shoes, belts, headbands, jewelry, bags, and scarves. Chic but inexpensive, little outfit-extras like these are a great way to wear just a hint of floral. You'll look fresh and feminine, without looking like a grandma (or worse, a toddler).
The most dainty accessory I came across was this elegant bracelet set (shown) the Taberksi Bangle collection ($15 at Aldo Shoes). You can mix and match for however much floral you're feeling at the moment -- and only people who get close to you will notice this sweet touch of girly glam on your wrist. Now's also a great time of year to purchase cheap, lightweight scarves that keep you warm on chilly spring mornings and can turn two outfits into ten very easily. I like the colorful Watercolor Floral Scarf ($8.80 at Forever 21), perfect for dressing up your fave denim. Or go the fancy-casual route with these Floral Print Jersey Scarves ($12 each at Old Navy) that feature fancy Impressionist-inspired patterns and casual, comfy jersey material -- and a very pretty price tag.
Would you wear floral accessories, or are they too old (grandma!) or young (toddler!) for you? Chime in!
