Flu.gov

Works On: Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad

The mobile version of the government’s official flu site (accessible in English and Spanish) monitors flu activity by zip code and sends email alerts to let you know how widespread the virus is in your community. Plus, with the entire web site at your finger tips, you can then tap into info on prevention strategies like annual flu vaccines and hand washing (there’s even a video highlighting proper protocol), read up on hallmark symptoms and treatments and follow the site’s Twitter feed.
