Foods for energy, strength and endurance.
I have an 11 year old daughter that is into a lot of sports. My question is, what kind of foods can she eat that will give her energy and build strength and endurance. Her main sport is swimming.Question:

There are many important foods, and fluids, for your daughter to eat to help her maximize her athletic performance. I recommend that you purchase a book that will cover all of this with you. It would be a good book to read together. It is called, 'Play Hard, Eat Right, A Parents' Guide to Sports Nutrition for Children', by Debbi Sowell Jennings, M.S., R.D. and Suzanne Nelson Steen, D.Sc., R.D. My daughter is also very active in sports, and this book as been a big help, particularly in deciding on appropriate pre-event meals.Answer:
