Dual purpose your NFL gear

If you’re a diehard fan of your home team, odds are that you may own more team merchandise than you can (at least comfortably) wear at one time. Well, there’s no need to leave that stuff in the closet waiting for the next game. “Keep it simple for the décor,” advises Patricia Mendez, author of Easy Entertaining for Beginners. “Use your NFL gear for decoration at the party.” So, if you have a team helmet, flip it upside down and put it on the table to hold napkins. If you’ve got extra jerseys or t-shirts that aren’t being worn, hang them on a wall to ensure that team spirit is on display wherever the eye wanders. Even team kozies can be dual-purposed as plastic silverware holders. And yes, you can bust out the giant foam fingers if you’re so inclined…
