Who Topped the 'Forbes' List of 100 Most Powerful Celebs?

Jennifer Lopez knocks Lady Gaga out of the No. 1 spot on the "Celebrity 100," with Oprah and Justin Bieber nipping at her high heels

Last year, Lady Gaga knocked Oprah from the top of Forbes' annual "Celebrity 100" list. This year, Jennifer Lopez has KO'd them both! In the magazine's latest ranking of Hollywood's most powerful celebrities, the multi-talented American Idol judge clocks in at No. 1.

The Forbes editors, who determine the "Celebrity 100" based on fame, influence and earnings, selected Lopez because of her impressive career comeback and her success in multiple fields. Since joining the Idol team and parting ways with Marc Anthony, Lopez has revived her singing and acting careers, established a social media presence, become the face of L'Oreal, released a top-selling fragrance and designed a successful clothing line. All in a day's work for Jenny from the Block!

Coming in at No. 2 is Oprah Winfrey, who has been in the top three nearly every year since Forbes debuted the "Celebrity 100" in 1999. Despite her setbacks this year with the OWN Network, she still has a solid media empire (including O magazine and The Rachael Ray Show). A bad year for Oprah is a pretty amazing year by anybody else's standards: She raked in $165 million dollars last year, more than anyone else on the list.

The No. 3 spot goes to the same teenage pop prodigy who held it last year: Justin Bieber. The "Boyfriend" singer makes the list not only for his musical success, but for his investments in startup internet companies like Spotify.

Speaking of investing in internet companies, Ashton Kutcher joined the "Celebrity 100" for the very first time this year, entering at No. 51. The actor's influence has been felt in the tech world for years -- but now that he's one of the highest-paid men on television, he has the bank account to match his reputation.

Two other notable newcomers to the Forbes list are Kim and Khloe Kardashian, who ranked at No. 7 an No. 73, respectively. (Sorry, Kourtney! Maybe you should be thinking about a spin-off?) Obviously, Kim is the most famous of the Kardashian sisters, but this year, it was her wedding and divorce -- with all the accompanying money and publicity -- that landed her in the top 10.
