Okay, so this might not be the typical kind of celebrity we follow in Blabber, but as a huge fan of The Monkees growing up, I couldn't leave this out.
Peter Tork, a former member of the band, just announced that he has been diagnosed with a rare form of head and neck cancer.
If you didn't follow The Monkees, in the picture above, Peter's the blond one on the bottom left. He's also the one who I always wanted to be my boyfriend when I was younger. Now that he's 67, I've changed my mind... I think.
Peter's spokesperson said he is doing well and that he will begin radiation treatment after a short recovery period, following the surgery he had earlier in the week.
I think we should all sing "Here we come, walkin' down the street..." in honor of Peter and hope that he gets better soon.
