Trinny and Susannah, anyone?

Do Trinny and Susannah get airplay in the US? I have to say that their rules for dressing have completely changed my dressing style. I've learned that 'fashionable' isn't always flattering and that I should be dressing for my shape instead.

Another bonus is that because fashion doesn't always have the pieces I need, I am spending more time in Op shops and flea markets looking for alternatives. Save money and look great!

Welcome to the board!! As you can see, it's pretty quiet here, so it's awesome when we can meet new people!

I've never heard of Trinny and Susannah, sad to say. It sounds as though you've learned alot from them. Tell us more!

Trinny and Susannah are a British duo who help women learn to dress for their shape. Some people find them pushy and abrasive, but I look past that because they are so clever.

They also have a few books. My favourite is the Body Shape Bible. (I'm a 'vase' which is like an elongated hourglass) My only criticism of the book is that it spends loads of time on all different body shapes so there's really only a chapter for each person. It's an ideal book to buy together with a couple of friends and share around. I left mine on the staffroom table and it got well and truly examined - with staff members categorising each other's bodies LOL.

Funny thing when I read this book is that I had to take a whole new look at my own shape. For some reason, I'd always thought I had comparitively largeish thighs....but when I looked with new eyes, I realised that they are actually slimmer than I thought. Not the the old view bothered me much, but I have started to dress differently and show off those legs instead of camoflaging them.

Meanwhile, the boobs are getting a bit more air because apparently high necked shirts make me look bulky up top. It explained a lot: I used to wear black skivvies and feel quite elegant. But in recent times, I've just been feeling frumpy in them. I've figured out the difference has been my boobs growing over the past couple of years. I do miss those cute little B cups, but at least I know what to do with the DDs now.

I just Googled it. Yes, one and the same.

I haven't seen this new show yet. Hope it gets airplay here.
