Love 1930's dresses but can't find any- vintage or reproduced. Am fairly crap at making stuff, so really need to buy one or find patterns. Have browsed a million retro sites but is all a bit bitty and am fairly bored. Anyone know a place that does plenty?

Hi Amelia, welcome to our board, and thanks for giving me a chance to look at all those great clothes while trying to find something to help you. Most of the sites I went to had very little for the 1930's, and, since I'm not a buyer of vintage clothing, I about choked on some of the prices. (YIKES!)

Anyway, here are links that I found, I'm sure you've been to most, if not all, of them. There is one site that has patterns. Have you considered finding a dressmaker to do sewing for you, and make some of the things you like?

Have you been to fabric shops lately? Most of the major pattern makers include a small section of "retro patterns" from various decades. You might find a '30's pattern you like there. Good luck. Iri

Ebay would be a good bet and there is a place in New Orleans with some of the best vintage clothing that I have ever seen and they sell frocks on their website:
