Appropriate for a wedding?

I'm going to a wedding on Saturday and having a hard time figuring out what to wear. The ceremony is at 3pm and the reception is directly after (I think). Here are my two options:

*classy (not slutty looking) red, calf-length halter dress, form fitting but not tight, bunches on one side, but shows cleavage
*white pinstripped pants with a black velvet-type blazer (not too sure of what top but leaning towards a spaghetti strap lace burgundy top)

Thanks in advance!

I think they both sound great, and both would be appropriate. I guess wear the one you are most comfortable with, and more suited to whatever the weather is. If it's chilly I know I'd be going with the pants and blazer.

Either one sounds great...depends on what you want to do. I was always told that afternoon weddings are less "formal"...so you can go for comfort over being totally dressed up. Let us know what you decide!! Love Jennie your New England Cowgirl
