I'm interested in buying a corset but I'm haveing a problem decideing on a size. Do i go with my bra size or a size smaller considering it has the strings on the back to tie up.

Hi Candy!

Here's a guide on how to find the right size for a corset:

Fitting Your Corset

Grab a tape measure cause you'll need it!

You would measure for your corset like you would measure the bandwidth for your bra.

Fitting Your Band Size

Standing in front of a mirror, wrap your tape measure snugly around your chest, just under or at the crease beneath your breasts and flush against your back. Check in the mirror to make sure the tape measure is parallel to the floor and flat across your back. You may need a friend or partner to help. Record this measurement in inches and write it down. Now you’ll need to do some basic math to find your proper band size.

If the number is even, add 4 to get your Band Size
If the number is odd, add 5 to get your Band Size

Example: If you wrote down 32, add 4 and your band size will be 36, this will also be your corset size.
If you have a DD cup size or above you would go one size larger.

Wow, you're really going to wear a corset?

Thanks for the information, Chris. I always wondered about that too, and thought I'd have to go to a store and start trying them on. They are great for back support when you need it,

I'm sorry, but that's not at all how you measure for a corset. I believe you are thinkig about a corselette (also called an "all-in-one") combination girdle and bra. A corset is sized according to the waist measurement. When buying on line, some corsetieres ask for your natural waist measurement and will send you a corset 2 to 4" smaller. Others ask you to do the subtraction and tell them what size corset you want. However, it is not done by bra size.
