I'm attending a performance of "Swan Lake" in a few months at a downtown arts center (my seats are in a balcony box, which contains two rows of 12 seats each)...looking forward to

Every time I hear balcony box seats, I think of Pretty Woman when they went to the Opera. I always picture a long gown for the ladies and a tux for the men. While this may be a little too much, I could picture myself wearing a cocktail dress for this occassion.

I think you have it covered, pretty well. I like the sound of the cross over top with the skirt. I agree on going formal, it's a special event for you, why not go all the way with it.
