Fall boots dilemma

I am in bad need of a pair of new boots for fall, but after seeing what's out there this season, I'm feeling a little bummed. I don't think that any of them will be flattering on me :-(

Any recos? I have short legs, so the short boots don't work - they make my legs look even shorter!!

I am so with you on this...not a fan of these short boots. Some of the riding boots are cute, but unless you have really slender calves they can be all but impossible to zip up!

It's all a matter of proportion; how the boots are scaled to what they are worn with will make your legs appear longer or shorter. You will have to try on boots in order to get an idea of what will work for you. I also have short legs, and I typically wear a paddock-style short boot (or any sleek line). Anything with bulk at the ankle (i.e. cuffed or scrunched) is not so good. Riding boots are always in style.

If you check out sites like Lane Bryant and Onestopplus you will find boots for wider calves. Here are some links to check out, but you will need to scroll down a little to get to the boots.

I have bought several pairs of boots and shoes from these places and have been very happy with the quality and prices.
